Hiring Qualified Contractors

Not all municipalities require plumbing and heating installers to be licensed. Leatherstocking recommends that customers utilize a professional who is experienced in natural gas appliance installation and operation.

In addition, all gas appliances, gas piping, chimney/venting systems, and related appurtenances must be installed in accordance with the latest applicable codes and standards including, but not limited to the: Fuel Gas Code, Fire Prevention Building Code, manufacturer’s installation instructions, and all other state and local building codes.

As a convenience to our customers, Leatherstocking Gas Company is providing a list of contractors in our area. LGC does not endorse any particular contractor. You will be entering into a direct relationship with the contractor of your choice and it is important that you review their credentials and qualifications. The contractors listed are not agents or representatives of LGC and LGC does not guarantee or warranty the work of the listed contractors. You are free to choose other contractors and do not have to choose a listed contractor.
